I could relate! I run a busy coaching and therapy business alongside being a mum to a 4 year old and 18 year old. Juggling pre-school, with train station drop offs and pick ups for my son, getting to the office, running the business whilst also trying to expand the business...the list goes on, I know I don't need to explain the juggle to you!

It's not even as if I don't have help these days, I have a husband who is very hands on and my parents help with childcare and cooking and gardening and so many other things! A far cry from when I was a single mother with no support, trying to figure out how to get through the day.

But there is something else as a mother that is always there no matter how much help you have, it's the guilt...the mental load.

My clients felt shame around admitting the challenges they had around managing this mental load because it was hard to quantify or put into words. Besides, they needed to appear capable, indestructible, ultra resilient and to pick up the 'slack' from times when they needed to be with their children. It was a universal problem though, and I felt I could do more to help.
